This yummy homemade chocolate syrup recipe was submitted by John from Garden City Idaho. Do try and use Milka brand chocolate if you can, as it's absolutely delicious. To start the recipe you will need to take out a small cooking pot. Add into the pot the crushed Milka Alpine milk chocolate bar, cocoa powder, organic cinnamon powder, bottled water, kosher salt, organic honey, vanilla extract, and ground nutmeg powder. Stir up these ingredients using a metal whisk, then place the pot on the stove over medium high heat. Bring the chocolate syrup to a boil, then turn off the heat and let the contents simmer. Stir the mixture until all of the chocolate and honey has fully dissolved, and the syrup begins to thicken. Lastly you will want to remove the pot from the stove, and let the syrup cool for several minutes. This homemade chocolate syrup will stay fresh for roughly two to three weeks if properly stored in the refrigerator.
