Chocolate Syrup
With most of our recipes, you'll notice that we have listed the actual brand name of some of the ingredients that were used. While it's recommended that you use the specific brand name products of that particular recipe, it obviously isn't required. All of our recipes are extremely flexible, and each can be custom tailored with your own choice of brand name ingredients. In addition to the actual ingredients used, the proportions can also be adjusted to meet your specific taste preferences. Creating homemade chocolate syrup is a really simple and easy task, with all non chocolate and cocoa based ingredients being secondary. If you have a question or comment that you would like us to address regarding our choice of ingredients, then please don't hesitate to send us an email. If you yourself have a unique chocolate syrup ingredient that you would like to make us aware of, then please feel free to let us know what it is by way of email.

Over the years, I have found that the best way to create a delicious chocolate syrup recipe from scratch, is to be willing to take risks with regard to ingredient choices. There is a smart way to go about doing this, as to make sure that your experiment does not ruin the whole chocolate syrup batch. You simply set aside a small portion of your chocolate syrup base, then add in some unique flavors to it first, as opposed to experimenting with the whole batch. This will allow you to have little taste samplers, then you can judge whether or not you want to proceed with a larger batch. Once you have a small experimental flavor perfected, all you will then need to do is to scale up the ingredient proportions for a larger serving size. Chocolate syrup is really difficult to ruin, unless of course you burn it. So I would really encourage everyone to go all out with what you add to it. Don't be afraid to add really exotic flavors to the chocolate syrup.

To give you an idea of what I mean by creating an off the beaten path chocolate syrup recipe, consider some of the blends that I have made is the past. For a Mexican themed party, I once created a chocolate cake glazed with chili pepper laced chocolate syrup. For Thanksgiving I once made a chocolate syrup that had a very subtle and smooth pumpkin flavor to it, achieved by mixing it with just a touch of homemade pumpkin juice that I made with my juicer. For St. Patrick's Day, I once made chocolate syrup brownies with a hint of Irish Guinness Stout for an Ireland themed flavoring. So I think you get the general idea of what I like to do with my chocolate syrups, and I guarantee that you will wow any of your friends or family members lucky enough to get to try it out. Aside from the flavor of it all, I think you will find that it's extremely fun to try and create a rare or unique syrup recipe that is well off of the standard beaten path.

Almost all of the brand name ingredients we used in our recipes are available for purchase at most local United States based grocery stores, as well as being available for purchase online. If you live outside of the United States, you can still access most of these products through internet stores like Amazon. A deliberate effort was made to only use products that are readily available to our web users, as it makes no sense to publish a recipe that can not be replicated. If you find that you are having trouble locating a specific ingredient contained in one of our recipes, then please send us an email so that we can assist you. That concludes this section on chocolate syrup ingredients. We hope that you'll browse around our website some more. Also don't forget to add our chocolate syrup recipes database to your browser's favorites list, as we plan to add many more delicious and heavenly recipes and articles on a continual and regular basis.
