Preparation Instructions:
We recently received this cherry chocolate syrup recipe from Linda of Palm Springs California. To get started, please take out a small saucepan. Add into the pan the cherry syrup, semisweet chocolate chips, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, spring water, ground nutmeg, and coarse ground table salt. Bring these ingredients to a boil over medium high heat, while stirring throughout the whole heating process. Next reduce the heat so that the syrup can simmer for three to five minutes, or until all of the semisweet chocolate chips have melted. Once you have a smooth and even syrup, remove it from the burner so that it can cool. This cherry chocolate syrup is excellent used as a cake frosting, cupcake frosting, ice cream garnish, or as a pie or pastry filling.
